Seminyak has always been the No. 1 place to go in Bali With upscale boutiques, bars and restaurants, with good reason Sandeep’s hospitality presence has always been prominent, with the fine dining restaurant Amici, and unique and magical club/venue Iron Fairies in the heart of Seminyak’s Pettitenget. What he found missing was true luxury villas, villas for friends and family, the type of place that he would like to stay in with his family. He wanted to create a space that gives you seclusion and peace, a healing villa Seminyak but still close enough to the energy and vibrancy that has made Seminyak famous.

How it began – The Urban Retreat – Villa Satu 3 Bedroom Villa Seminyak Near Eat Street

When a villa became available on Jl Beraban, the opportunity became too good to miss to create the luxury villa seminyak that Sandeep had envisioned After extensive meetings with architects and designers the vision started to take shape and after a complete rebuild in July 2024. Villa Satu was ready to welcome their first guests, a Spacious 3-bedroom villa for family stays in Bali that also works perfectly for couples who want modern amenities, privacy and space.

Villa Satu has everything you need to relax and rejuvenate, full kitchen, private pool, and feature library carefully designed and decorated to showcase Balinese charm but to stand out with a unique character. From the second you step foot through the gate and are greeted by the flowing waters of the Koi pond and the tropical walkway, you feel like you have escaped the city and found a true Seminyak retreat villa.

The Beginning of Boutique Villas Bali – Elegant Bali villas with pools, gyms, and personalised hospitality

With Villa Satu becoming the first Boutique villa Seminyak, construction began on a second villa in the prime location just walking distance from Eat Street and with the intent to continue to create a villa complex in Seminyak – the Urban Retreat was moving beyond Villa Satu, and Boutique Villas Bali was founded.

As The Urban Retreat Bali and Boutique Villas Bali welcomed the first guests to Villa Satu, work continued on Villa Tiga at the back of the complex, a 4-bedroom villa Seminyak this would give more available options especially for those looking for multiple bedrooms and large family gatherings Seminyak, the privacy, seclusion and convenient location made it a perfect fit.

The reimagining of The Urban Retreat Bali.

There was still one villa that did not belong to Sandeep that sat central to the complex This changed quickly as he purchased the third and final villa in the villa complex. However a different plan was originally formatted for this third villa. More and more people were looking to book a wellness stay bali, so the thought began that perhaps this central plot could be reimagined as a wellness retreat seminyak, a central city location for holistic healing and rejuvenation. With Rosy, Sandeep’s wife having a deep rooted connection with Ayurveda and passion to share the holistic healing with others, the idea of Ayurlife Bali was created. As the idea started to take shape it grew beyond the walls of the Urban Retreat area, and a new location of larger dimensions was found to give the healing space needed for this incredible project (Watch this space: Launch of Ayurlife Bali mid-2026). The final plot at The Urban Retreat would become another villa to complete the complex.

The Urban Retreat Bali – Private villas with gym and pool in Bali

Villa Dua, the newest and final villa in the Urban Retreat complex, started to take shape. A truly unique design with beautiful hand paved limestone cladding on the exterior and just like Villa Satu and Villa Tiga, its own distinctive personality Central to the complex, Villa Dua was completed and opened its doors to guests in October 2025. As a Luxury 5-bedroom villa with gym, it has been designed to give a Wellness-focused villa stay for all guests at Urban Retreats with the gym accessible to all within the complex.

The journey so far has definitely been worth it. As you step foot into the Urban Retreat complex the bronze sign glowing on the exterior wall, our security guiding you to the parking or assisting you across the road. The air is fragrant with the tropical plants that flank the pathway between the villas, and the archway with green vines inching their way around it that stands above the pathway, all giving an air of magic and serenity to these unique serviced villas seminyak.

On days when I visit and I hear the giggles and splashes of children playing in the pool echoing through the air, more selfies than sweat in the gym, and the smell of BBQ in the air as our in-villa staff cook up poolside dinner, I know that we have something special. Sandeep’s original vision of creating a space suitable for families or groups, a true boutique villa seminyak has evolved into something far greater, a 12 bedroom villa in Bali for large groups that does not compromise on the service or the standards.
