How I planned my dream 50th birthday in Bali at Villa Rosita

Bali has always been a destination that is close to my heart. From a child my parents used to bring me with my sisters to Bali, always looking for the perfect place to stay, a kids friendly villa where we could all be free to relax and enjoy our time together. So as I am planning a milestone birthday soon, it seemed fitting that I would celebrate in Bali, so I started looking for the best villa for party in Bali.

It was important for me that my birthday villa Bali is a family villa with spacious gardens. I have so many nieces and nephews and friends with children I wanted to be sure that all guests were taken care of from the youngest to the oldest of the family. This seemed like a tall order to find a luxury villa bali that could also be a villa for a family gathering.

When talking with my friends, everyone had a suggestion for parties & celebrations but with the villa for celebration none of the suggestions felt right for what I wanted. I wanted a beach villa for party in Bali, a villa with an infinity pool, basically no pressure (I told my friends) but I want Bali’s most beautiful villa, it would also be helpful if it was a villa near airport, for my friends and family flying in from Oz. One of my friends Linda told me about a villa near Bali Safari she had been to before, her friends had organized it for a vow renewal and it had been stunning. “They said their vows at the end of the infinity pool with the backdrop of the waves crashing behind them. It was dramatic and magical. Located in Klungkung, Bali directly on Tegal Besar beach I think it was called”. It sounded amazing, after a quick check I found the Villa she was talking about was Villa Rosita and it is only around 45minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Sanur, which would work out perfectly for guests that would not be staying at the Villa for the party.  My friend Tiana, who lives in Bali with her husband and her daughter, suggested that we take a weekend there before I start planning and committing to booking for the party. “It looks like a quiet place to stay in Bali and I could do with a staycation”. With 7 bedrooms, a private chef villa, plus an in-villa gym and pool table, I had to agree it was a good idea.

The Luxury Experience – Quality time in Oceanfront Serenity

We set in motion the planning, I would fly in with my mum and her partner and we would go directly to the airport. Tiana and her family would meet us at the villa and my other friends Linda, Vince and their daughter would join us. We were told it was a spacious villa in Bali so we wanted to test this and see if it really was a villa for a family event with Tiana’s daughter only just 3, and my mum having mobility issues, would everyone still receive the Luxury Villa guest experience, and that is really is multi-generational family villa Bali.

Driving away from the airport, within minutes we were on the highway with the beautiful rolling greens of Bali’s rice fields and mountains on one side and the sea meeting the shore on the other side. My mum turned to me and smiled hugely, we were excited for our Bali holiday and ready to rest and relax this weekend in our exclusive beachfront villa Bali.

We turned off the highway and drove down a small road heading towards the sea. We had arrived at the village of Tegal Besar. Chickens lining the side of the road and children playing happily in front of one of the houses, it seemed like a different Bali to what we had seen in Kuta and Sanur. An elderly lady dressed in a colourful sarong and white kebeya laid offerings on the ground and smiled sweetly as we passed. At the end of the road just before we reached the sea, Villa Rosita Bali. As our car slowed the big wooden gates opened and we were waved through by the villa security. We opened the car door, and the friendly face of Kadek, the villa manager, greeted us. In front of us was the in-house gym villa, and large pool table. Mum and I looked at each other, smiled. My step dad went to grab the suitcases before Kadek stopped, “we will take care of those,” he said with a smile and a nod as another three staff appeared from nowhere and started unpacking our luggage from the car.

I thought I had seen a lot of Luxury Bali holiday villas but Villa Rosita was next level. As we followed kadek down the path, with the flowing waters of the pond, and the koi swimming serenely on one side, and the lush green lawn and gardens on the other, I knew that we were somewhere special. We entered the front door to the villa, and as we took the refreshing cold towel and welcome drink given to us, we gasped. The sweeping sea view in front of us was truly breathtaking.
